Hiro needs a home with no other pets or children.

Are you right for Hiro?

Hiro will need a home where he is the only pet and any children are of late teenage. He is house trained and can be left alone for about 4 hours without worry, once he's settled in. He is a little nervous of new people and will need a few visits to him at the centre before going home. Hiro does have Addisons disease and needs regular medication. If veterinary costs would be the only barrier to you adopting Hiro, we would still love you to get in touch.

Is Hiro right for you?

Originally 14 weeks old when he was rehomed from us, 8 year old Hiro is now looking for a home again due to family circumstances. He's quite a typical Collie who will try to herd people but equally will happily lean into your legs for a fuss or a scratch behind the ears. When he first meets someone, Hiro can be rather worried and suspicious but he has formed a bond with his handlers quite quickly. We would advise his new family to introduce any new people slowly so that he doesn't feel threatened or overwhelmed, and he does come around quickly. Hiro loves to play fetch or have a game of tug of war with his carers, and he does have a reputation as a sock thief at home! He also likes to roll around on the grass and cuddle up with his teddies. Hiro doesn't care for dogs in his space and will make his feelings known, but he can walk around our grounds quite happily with the other dogs at a distance, as long as he doesn't have to interact. He loves his food and nibbles and this may well be the way to his heart!
