Are you right for Benny?

Benny is a handsome 4yr old Dachshund who is looking for quite a specific home. He's a very anxious boy so will need to be the only pet in a quiet, adult only home with few visitors, especially during his settling in period. A secure garden is a must so he has somewhere of his own to explore off-lead. He's got a very smart head on his shoulders and loves training so will really suit adopters who just as passionate about this.

Is Benny right for you?

Benny is a wonderful dog underneath his worries and just needs new friends to take their time getting to know him. Multiple meets at the centre will ensure that he comes round at his own pace and although you'll initially be hands off, once he's comfortable he'll be asking for a good fuss in no time and showing you his favourite game, fetching balls! He would literally play all day if he could! He can be reactive towards other dogs but he's slowly working on this and we can help and support his ongoing training. He walks really nicely in quiet places where he won't see many dogs. Benny takes medication to help with his anxiety and our Vet will discuss in more detail with potential matches. So if you live in a peaceful location and have the time and patience to work with us to gradually transition Benny into his forever home then add him to your favourites now!
