Are you right for Dudley?

Are you ready for a clever, curious companion who thrives on trust? Dudley is a delightful 4 year old scruffy terrier crossbreed with a big personality. He needs the right environment to flourish and is looking for an adult only home with patient owners who are willing to continue his training and help him feel secure. Dudley needs a quiet space where he can feel safe, and he is happiest as the only pet in the home. While he loves meeting dog friends on walks, he needs to have his home all to himself. If you enjoy spending time outdoors, Dudley will be your perfect adventure partner. He loves his walks, especially when there are new places to explore. Dudley has mixed well with a number of dogs here at the centre although he can be reactive to some dogs and he can struggle around cyclists and joggers. He needs someone who is calm and confident, and will keep Dudley on lead and wearing his snazzy muzzle in public and when visiting the vet or groomer. Dudley will also need a home where his owners can set clear boundaries - he is not allowed upstairs, and a baby gate at the bottom of the stairs is a must! Dudley is house trained, knows basic commands, and loves treats, making training a fun experience for both of you. He is also relaxed around traffic and travels well, happily hopping into the car for your next adventure together.

Is Dudley right for you?

Dudley is an intelligent and loving boy who bonds deeply with people he trusts. Although he may be a little shy around new people at first, it doesn't take long for his curiosity to shine through and he loves a fuss from people he knows. He is especially fond of being brushed. Once he is settled in his new home, Dudley will gradually grow more comfortable being left alone for short periods. Dudley would benefit from some extra work around toys and any stolen “treasures” but with positive reinforcement and guidance from experienced owners, he is sure to make great progress. Dudley does like his food, especially tasty treats which keep training sessions fun. To keep him entertained and stimulated, a range of toys are great for satisfying his playful spirit. Whether it is a squeaky plush animal or a puzzle toy Dudley will play with it happily by himself. If you're searching for an adorable, affectionate and smart companion who needs an experienced owner to guide him, Dudley might be the perfect match for you. With patience, training, and plenty of love, Dudley will blossom into a loyal and cherished member of your family. Get ready to embark on a journey filled with wagging tails and happy adventures with Dudley by your side!
