Is Carla right for you?
Carla is just shy of a year old but she's lived in a very unstable, unsafe environment. She's already had a litter of puppies and thankfully she can now look forward to feeling safe and loved for herself. Carla was so nervous when she first arrived and it took her a couple of days to begin to trust her carers, but now she knows she's OK she has begun to relax and enjoy her time with us. We're now getting to see this adolescent dog doing the things she should be doing, learning how to play and interact with people and other dogs. She was living with her sister in a house and they squabbled, so for now we're rehoming Carla to be by herself, so she can get to grips with a settled home life and work on her social skills. It would be nice for her to have friends outside of the home that she can practise those skills with, calm and steady dogs. She has been friendly with the ones she's met so she certainly has potential for living with a dog again in the future. As Carla has never been left by herself, her new family will need to be with her most of the time initially, but can work on build up some time alone gradually, so she knows being alone for a little while is nothing to fear.
