Our media support volunteers use their excellent eye and knowledge of film and photography to capture the character and cuteness of our four-legged residents.

What will you be doing?

  • taking stunning shots and engaging videos that showcase the charm of our canine companions – we’ll provide the camera equipment
  • editing and polishing up existing photos and videos of our dogs
  • creating and developing on-brand campaigns to promote our dogs, especially our long-term residents.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • experience of animal photography
  • a creative spark for developing new promotional ideas
  • a love of dogs, passion for their welfare and experience handling them
  • a patient and calm approach to working with dogs (some of our canine residents can be a little nervous around new people!)
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to work comfortably in a close-knit team or alone
  • conscientious with a can-do attitude.

What this role will offer you:

We will provide you with a main contact who will manage your tasks, answer any questions you might have and help you with the volunteer rota. You’ll also receive ongoing role-specific training, guidance and support as well as an opportunity to gain and develop new skills. We will provide a Dogs trust volunteer uniform, and will recognise the work you are kindly undertaking by enrolling you in our Volunteer Merits Scheme.
