Treat your pooch to an afternoon tea party with these tea-licious recipes!
Sweet potato sandwiches
Ingredients
- 1 sweet potato
- 140g of peanut butter + extra for spreading (xylitol free)
- 140g wholewheat flour
Method
- Peel and cut up the sweet potato. Boil until soft (about 10 mins). Then let it cool
- When it’s cool, mash the sweet potato in a bowl
- Add the peanut butter and flour
- Combine into a dough
- Roll out to about 1cm thick
- Cut into squares, then half them diagonally to be left with equal size triangles
- Place on a baking try and bake for 15-20 mins at 200 degrees
- Let cool
- When cool, sandwich the biscuits into pairs using the extra peanut butter.
Banana and spinach mini muffins
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 100g frozen spinach
- 120ml oat or soya milk
- 100g self-raising flour
- 100g oats
Method
- Thaw the spinach in the microwave (about 1min).
- Put it in a blender with the banana and milk alternative and blend until smoothish
- Add the flour and oats and mix
- Spoon into a mini muffin tray
- Bake for 10-15 minutes at 200 degrees
- Let cool!

These treats are perfect for a special occasion or as a training reward. When you make them, reduce your dog’s usual food portion so they’re not overfed. If you’re concerned about giving your dog new foods please speak to your vet before baking.
