OK9 Module 1: What is a dog
Introduction and Preparation
Welcome to your first training module for OK9 Wellbeing and Trauma Dog Handlers. Please make sure you have completed the Pre-Course quiz before beginning the module. There is no need for any independent or specific preparatory learning before you begin this module, however, you may find the Additional Resources below useful to reflect upon after the module.
When you are prompted to begin an activity during the module, you can pause the module video and access your activity using the activity button/s below. This first module, titled “What is a dog” will focus on a basic understanding of all things dog – from their origin to common misconceptions relating to today’s dogs. This will help OK9 Wellbeing and Trauma Dog Handlers understand their dog on a deeper level, helping them to work together effectively as a team!
Before you begin this module, please read the learning objectives. Keep these in mind as you go through the module. They will help with your personal reflection during the course and in the post course quiz.
