Are you right for Mario?

Are you looking for an absolute dream of a dog? Mario is a 9yr old Akita who LOVES people! He’s the poster boy for ‘gentle giant’ in every way. He’ll be fine to live with older kids who are comfortable around larger dogs and should be ok left for short periods. He will need to be the only pet in the home as other dogs can worry him a bit and he can be vocal towards them on walks so he prefers his space. His home will need to have a secure garden as he really enjoys to sniff and potter at his leisure.

Is Mario right for you?

Mario is the sweetest boy who likes to say hello to everyone. He enjoys nothing more than a good fuss. He is currently living in a foster home where he’s getting all the home comforts he deserves. His foster carers told us that he’s a wonderful house guest who likes to snooze on the sofa most of the day. He’s fully housetrained and when he’s not snoozing the day away he enjoys a long walk and can happily do a few miles if the mood takes him. So if you are looking for a calm, gentle and super snuggly companion then you might be a good match for Mario.

When we find a match, we’ll invite you to meet them

If we’ve found a dog who seems right for you, we’ll invite you to come and meet them at the rehoming centre.

If we haven’t found the right match, we’ll continue the search together

If we haven’t found the right dog for you within three months, we’ll let you know your application is closed. We’ll invite you to apply again so we have up-to-date information about you, and we’ll keep looking.
