Are you right for Milo?

Milo is a joyful 4-year-old hound searching for an active family that loves hiking and long walks. While he may be a little indifferent at first, he quickly warms up and forms strong bonds with his favourite humans. In typical hound fashion, Milo has a big appetite and will do anything for a tasty treat! He’ll need some management around food, especially in the kitchen, as he settles into his new home. This smart boy thrives on both mental and physical stimulation and would love a home where he can keep busy. He’s looking for a secure garden with at least 5ft fencing for safe outdoor time. Milo would do best as the only pet in the household but enjoys socializing with other dogs on his walks.

Is Milo right for you?

Milo’s recall can be limited, especially around distractions like other dogs, so he should only be let off-lead in secure areas where he can continue to practice. Having a safe space of his own at home would be ideal, and once he has settled in, he can be left alone for a few hours. He’ll be a wonderful companion for someone with experience, particularly with hounds or rescue dogs, but would be best suited to an adult only home. To help him adjust smoothly, Milo will need multiple meet-and-greet sessions at the centre before adoption, along with home visits, to build a strong bond with his new family and set him up for success. Animal Welfare licence number is AWE02, as licenced by Glasgow City Council.
