Are you right for Luna?

Luna is a bright, affectionate, and super-smart Malinois Cross who is always ready for a training session, a game of scent search, or a good cuddle after a busy day. This gorgeous three-and-a-half-year-old lass is looking for a calm, adult-only home where she can build her confidence and settle into a steady routine. A quiet, rural setting would suit her best, along with a private garden (with 6ft fencing) where she can unwind and play. While she must be the only pet in the home, she enjoys making doggy friends out and about. Luna thrives when she has both mental and physical stimulation, so her new family must be keen to keep up with her training. She is well-practised at wearing her muzzle and should always be on the lead and muzzled in public spaces. She would also benefit from "happy vet visits" to help her feel at ease with the veterinary team. To help her settle, multiple visits from her adopters at the centre and in the home will be needed. Once she is comfortable in her new home, she can gradually be left alone for short periods, ideally after a nice walk and some enrichment.

Is Luna right for you?

If you are looking for a clever, trainable, and fun-loving companion, Luna might just be your perfect match! This gorgeous girl is a bright spark who loves interactive games, from agility and tug to scent searches and fetch (though she thinks fetch is more fun with two balls, as giving one back is a work in progress). She is a foodie at heart and enjoys her meals in kongs or puzzle feeders before settling down with a long-lasting chew. Luna is affectionate with people she knows, happily leaning in for a fuss, but she needs time to warm up to new faces. She already knows sit, down, and paw, and she is housetrained, though she may need a refresher when settling in. She enjoys car rides but might need a little encouragement initially. Luna is currently on medication, which the team will discuss during the reservation process, and her new family will have ongoing support from the training team at Dogs Trust. With patience, understanding, and a commitment to her training, Luna will flourish into a devoted and rewarding companion with a family who is sensitive to her needs. Could she be the one for you?
