Are you right for Whistle?

Whistle can live with high school aged children but no other pets. We have very little background information for him so cannot guarantee that he is house trained or used to spending time alone.

Is Whistle right for you?

Whistle is a Border Collie of Irish origin, given up due to a reduction in the flock on his farm. He is a very active working dog and kennels isn't where he would choose to be, but he does manage to relax in his bed and watch the world go by at times. Whistle is always happy to see us and he's not quite a year old so still very giddy and excitable. He's begun to enjoy his walks but isn't used to being around other dogs and his default behaviour is to drop and stalk any that come too close! He has a lot to learn to get used to life as a pet, including how to walk on his lead and greet other dogs appropriately, and a family that understands working Collies would be ideal for him. Whistle understandably lacks confidence so we take things at his pace as he has a lot to get to grips with. Something Whistle really knows how to do is give good cuddles! He is very affectionate and loves to be brushed and have hands on time with his favourite people.
