Are you right for Snow?

Snow is a sweet, sensitive soul looking for a calm and patient home. This three year old Collie cross needs a quiet adult only environment with no visiting children, where her boundaries will be respected and she can feel safe. Snow must live with another dog who can be her companion and help show her the ropes of home life. Because she has never lived in a home before, Snow will need plenty of time to adjust to her new surroundings and learn a steady routine. Her new family must be understanding of her need to take things slowly and should be prepared for multiple visits to the centre and their home before adoption to help her feel comfortable. Snow is housetrained 99% of the time. She will need a fully secure and enclosed garden. Snow would love an adopter who can read her body language and give her space when she asks for it. She will also need some ongoing help with impulse control and support to feel at ease with car travel. Snow’s vet visits will require a muzzle, and she is on medication, but our team will guide you through everything you need to know to support her.

Is Snow right for you?

Once Snow feels safe, her curious and cheeky side starts to shine through. She enjoys playing "find it" games with treats and loves enrichment activities that engage her mind. Although she prefers to keep her distance from people at first, she has a sweet and friendly nature, and with time and patience, you might see her blossom into a more interactive companion. The team here have worked hard to build up Snow’s confidence. Snow is now used to being indoors with household noises going on such as the Tv, washing machine, microwave, cupboard doors opening and closing etc. We believe that Snow is now ready for everyday life of being in a home. Snow is happiest in the company of other dogs and will sometimes join in play, though she also likes to take herself off for a bit of "me time." She eats well and finds joy in small, simple pleasures, but she needs a home without cats or small furries. If you have the patience, understanding, and love to let Snow set the pace, she will reward you with her trust and unique personality. Snow’s journey might take time, but she has so much potential to bring quiet joy and companionship to the right home.
