Are you right for Odie?

Odie is the sweetest boy who would love to find compassionate, understanding home with a family that will advocate for his needs. As a sensitive soul he need an adult only home with no other pets. Once you get to know him he’s really affectionate and soppy, he just needs people that are willing to work with his initial worries. As unfamiliar people are a worry he will need a home that can limit his access to the front door. He’s a clever lad though, and has learned that when he hears someone arrive he goes to a designated area. This could be a crate or a separate room, depending on what works for you. Odie can be particularly worried on walks and so a secure garden is an absolute must for him. He is walked muzzled but has no problem with this, and we’ll show you the ropes if you’re not sure. Odie is on medication to help lower his anxiety levels, and this will need to be continued in the home.

Is Odie right for you?

Odie is a beautiful 7-year-old Dalmatian X and an absolute superstar with anyone that can give him the time, love and reassurance that he needs. Before coming into our care he lived quite a sheltered life, and so has been in kennels for a while now working on his training and confidence. More recently he has been spending time in a foster home where he’s adapting amazingly. He settles really well on his own and can be left for a few hours at a time. He’s good in the car (though can be a bit vocal at times) so could happily travel somewhere for quiet and peaceful walks. After a quick refresher he has also been fully housetrained. Odie is our golden boy who has so much to offer, and would love to find a family to love him as much as he will love them.
