Are you right for Bear?

Beautiful Bear is a 4year old Rottweiler x Dogue De Bordeaux. He is looking for a home where he can be the only pet in the home but could have doggy friends to socialise with on walks. Bear has been around children previously but can be a bit boisterous and exhibit puppy like behaviours such as nipping at sleeves when he gets overexcited so would be better suited to living with children of Secondary School age who are confident around big, bouncy dogs. Bear would like to have regular access to some outside space but does not necessarily need a garden of his own as long as this is provided throughout the day. He travels well in the car and has been happy to be left for short periods of time.

Is Bear right for you?

Bear came into us through no fault of his own. He is a sweet boy who loves a cuddle and adores ball games such as fetch. He walks nicely on lead and while his recall isn't quite 100% he enjoys time exploring off lead and having a sniff. He has loved everyone he has met at the centre and sees them as someone else to play and cuddle with! He can be a bit mouthy when excitable but has been doing well with his training and our training and behaviour team can help advise how to continue this in the home. Bear is toilet trained and already knows "sit" "lie down" "paw" and "wait". Have you got room on you sofa and in your heart for the cuddle monster that is Bear?! . Please note that you won’t be applying for a specific dog, but you can tell us what type of dog you’re looking for. You can also add up to four favourites to your application to give us an idea of the dogs you like, so we can consider you for similar dogs. Once you’ve submitted your application, we can’t change or update your favourites. Adding a dog to your application is not a reservation but a guide for us to find you a match.
