Are you right for Belle?

Belle is a sweet, nine-year-old French Bulldog with a sensitive side. She’s a loveable lady and enjoys spending time with her people pals but can be timid at first and prefers to build up a bond at her own pace. Once she knows you well, she’ll begin to show her affectionate side. However, she’ll much prefer interacting with you while participating in fun training or chilling out with you on the sofa, rather than lots of tactile fuss. Belle is a VERY foodie pooch and can be frantic with her food. She finds it challenging when people come too close when she’s eating and has a history of resource guarding behaviours. Because of this, we feel she would best be suited to a family where the youngest members are in their later teens and understand that she’ll need her space occasionally. Belle is a sociable girl when it comes to mixing with other dogs and would enjoy walking buddies with other calm-natured canines. However, due to her behaviours around food, she will need to be the only pet at home. A family who are always around at home to keep her company in the initial stages, before gradually building up the times they leave her would be ideal.

Is Belle right for you?

Belle is seeking adopters who could offer her plenty of patience and a gentle approach to making friends. Her perfect home would be somewhere quiet and peaceful, with non-slip flooring, and minimal steps to contend with. She dreams of pottering about on scent-filled adventures with her canine chums, travelling in the car for a road-trip, and working on fun-training with tasty treats. Watching as Belle develops in confidence and begins to reveal her true endearing qualities, is bound to be a very rewarding experience for her forever family.
