Are you right for Bear?

Bear is an affectionate boy in search of a loving forever home where he can thrive as an only pet. While he is currently a bit intense around other dogs, with some patience and training, he should be able to polish his social skills and become a well-rounded companion. This adorable pup dreams of a home with a private garden, where he can safely explore, play, and soak up the sun. Since Bear is a larger dog with some medical needs, it's important that any resident or visiting children are aged eight or over to ensure everyone's comfort and safety. Once Bear settles into his new environment, he has the potential to be left alone for up to four hours as long as this time is introduced gradually. It's essential to keep in mind that Bear has some medical requirements that may incur additional costs. We can discuss these details further if your application is shortlisted. To help manage his joint pain and support his weight loss journey, Bear will benefit from several shorter walks throughout the day instead of one long outing. If you think you can provide Bear with the loving home he deserves, we’d love to hear from you! Let's give this wonderful dog the chance to shine in a nurturing environment.

Is Bear right for you?

Bear is a seven-year-old German Shepherd Dog who came into our care after his owner could no longer look after him. He has arrived at our doors carrying a little extra weight, so he will need to continue to lose this weight in his new home. As his energy levels are recovering, his personality is starting to shine through. Bear loves a tennis ball and to potter along with his handlers. He enjoys walking with other dogs but would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Bear would love a family where he can be involved in things as he is quite nosey and enjoys being in the company of people. Underneath all that fur, Bear is the sweetest dog who has a lot of love to give his new family.
