Are you right for Luna?

Luna is a really sweet girl who is looking for a fairly active home with a patient family who will give her lots of time to settle. She is looking for a quiet, relaxed home environment with minimal visitors as she can find meeting new people a bit scary. Luna is very uncomfortable and reactive around other dogs so will need to be the only dog in her new home. Due to her reactivity to dogs and new people Luna is currently undergoing muzzle training, and will need to be walked muzzled in her new home, and would benefit from access to quiet walking areas and secure fields so that she relax and enjoy her walks. She will also need access to her own secure garden where she can relax off lead, and will need a home with no neighbouring dogs. Due to her nervousness around new people Luna is better suited to live with children 16+ who can take their time with her and understand that she needs her own space. Luna’s new family will need to be able to commit to visiting her at the centre multiple times before she goes home so that they can build a bond with her and chat with the behaviour team about her ongoing training!

Is Luna right for you?

Luna is a really lovely girl but does get herself in a pickle at times! She loves playing football and running around off lead, and is a really smart cookie who loves learning new things in return for a tasty treat - she especially loves ham! Her love for toys and treats are a great way to help build a bond and continue her ongoing training! Luna has been in a home previously and was housetrained though this may need refreshing when she’s settling into her new home. Although she is reactive to dogs she did previously have a few doggy friends who she could walk with, so we’re hoping that with lots of time and patience she may be able to have walking friends again. Luna is a fantastic girl with so much potential, her new family just need to take their time with her to help her reach it.
