Are you right for Benji?

Benji is a lively, affectionate 6-month-old puppy seeking a loving home where he can continue to grow and learn. Still adjusting to the world around him, Benji will flourish in a household that can offer patience, consistent training, and gradual exposure to new experiences—especially during walks. He’s a friendly boy who adores his favourite people but can be a little shy at first and appreciates a gentle approach to building trust. As a young pup, Benji sometimes gets a little overexcited and may nip or mouth, so he will benefit from guidance to help redirect his energy into more appropriate outlets. For this reason, a home with older, secondary-school aged children would be ideal. Benji has had limited interaction with other dogs and will need continued support to build confidence and learn how to greet them properly. He would do best as the only pet in the home so that he can focus on his training and development. Currently working on his toilet training, Benji is using puppy pads and will need continued encouragement and support in his new home. He’s never been left alone for extended periods, so a gradual introduction to being alone will be essential. A home with a garden would be perfect for Benji to practice his training and burn off energy.

Is Benji right for you?

Benji is food-driven and loves treats, enjoying enrichment activities like puzzle feeders. He’s a bit picky with his meals and may prefer eating in a calm, quiet space. Benji enjoys toys, especially ones he can chew, but he should be supervised during playtime to ensure he doesn’t swallow anything harmful. He can be strong on the lead and will need guidance to walk calmly, particularly in busy or unfamiliar areas. He’s a bit uncertain around traffic and would benefit from quieter, rural walks to begin with. Benji is a loving and playful pup with great potential. With the right family, he will continue to thrive and grow into a wonderful companion!
