Are you right for Miller?

Miller is a five-year-old Greyhound looking for a loving home. He could share his home with children as young as eleven-years-old. He is looking to be the only dog in the home, without cats and small furies. Care may be needed around livestock. When out on walks Miller is required to wear a muzzle and lead, due to a high chase drive. Miller has experience of home -life and is used to the sights, sounds and smells that a home has to offer. He was housetrained in the home. He is not used to being left alone, so this will need to be built up gradually. He will need a home with a garden and would love trips to a large, secure field. He is happy to travel in the car. Experience of the breed or research prior to adoption would be beneficial.

Is Miller right for you?

Miller is an absolute sofa snuggle buddy! A gentle giant who likes to take naps! He likes to chill in your company either stretched out on the sofa with his legs in the air or relax in the office curled up on his bed watching the reception team do their work. Miller enjoys short walks & frequent play, then settles down for a nap. It is a common misconception that Greyhounds need lots of exercise, however it’s quite the opposite! Greyhounds naturally love to run but they can only sustain this for a short amount of time. He’s instantly friendly with new people and adores a fuss, leans into you for affection and ear rubs. One of his carers has been taking him home and he has been enjoying snuggling on the sofa watching nature documentaries. He enjoys walking alongside some dogs and is selective with his doggy pals. He would benefit from quieter walks initially. He generally plods along nicely on his lead, but he may pull when he sees a small furry or a cat. Miller loves to play with toys especially a ball or a squeaky toy. He enjoys his food and treats.
