Are you right for Jamie?

Jamie is a 7-year-old Lurcher. He is a friendly boy. Jamie would like to be the only pet in the home and can live with children aged 14 and above. He loves to explore and will stop at every bush and hedge to enjoy sniffing. He is happy to meet people out on his walks, but would rather other dogs kept away from him. Jamie will need his time left alone built up gradually, to help him settle into a new home. Jamie is a very sweet and gentle boy who is affectionate and loves his treats! He would love his own garden where he can enjoy off lead exercise, and play with his favourite squeaky ball. Jamie is fully housetrained, loves learning tricks, and showing them off to his family. Jamie wears a muzzle when in public spaces and enjoys wearing it. Call us to find out more about him! AWE licence number 176240 by West Lothian Council.

Is Jamie right for you?

Jamie is currently in foster and this is a typical day: Mornings are normally pretty chill for Jamie. He likes to be around his favourite people so he usually sleeps in the same room - he might even try sneak up onto his human’s bed once the alarm has gone off for a quick cuddle. If he could, he would definitely stay snuggled on the bed all morning, as he is quite a lazy boy who likes to be warm! Jamie is a total foodie, so meal times are a favourite. After breakfast Jamie usually settles down for a post meal snooze for the rest of the morning, either on his bed or the sofa. This boy enjoys the comfy life! As midday approaches Jamie knows it’s time to start reminding his humans that it’s time for walkies. Walks are mostly a chill affair with Jamie and he walks very nicely on the lead. He loves to explore and will stop at every bush and hedge to sniff. He is happy to meet people out on the walks, but would rather other dogs kept away from him. Once back home again it is time for some lunch and then collapse on the sofa or his bed for a snooze. If the weather is dry then mid-afternoon he normally likes to have a play in the garden. Balls are a firm favourite and he will happily run after them if thrown, or failing that a soft toy with a squeaker in. If it is a sunny day then this boy definitely enjoys sunbathing, and he will happily lay out on the grass all afternoon absorbing the warmth. Jamie is happy to have visiting human guests to the house, and will interact with them straight away. He does a good guard dog impression though. If anyone knocks on the door or rings the bell, he will sprint down the stairs barking at the door. However, once the door is open, he is happy to see whomever is there and wants to say hello. Early evening it’s time for another walk followed by dinner time. Once his dinner has been inhaled he is more than happy to climb up on the sofa and snuggle up next to his humans for the rest of the evening.
