Are you right for Cooper?

Cooper is a sweet and friendly boy who loves greeting everyone, and is known for stealing the hearts of everyone that he meets! His favourite activities include spending quality time with you in any way, rolling around, box fun and playing with toys. He has a loving nature and is searching for a sofa to snooze on. Cooper has enjoyed a few relaxing weekends in foster care, where he proved to be fully house-trained and a total couch potato! This loveable lad is looking to have direct access to a secure and private garden of his own. As a golden oldie, he has experienced separation anxiety in the past, so he needs someone who can be around most of the time. His new family should be patient and committed to gradually helping him build confidence when left alone. Cooper would thrive in an experienced home without young children. He loves nothing more than being made a fuss of and will even give you a little nudge to encourage you to keep giving him scratches!

Is Cooper right for you?

Cooper prefers having his own space, so he’s looking for a home where he can be the only pet. However, he would benefit from continuing to work on his socialisation skills with other dogs. He can be reactive to other dogs, so patience and guidance will be important, but he is trained to wear a muzzle on his walks to keep him safe. Cooper does have a medical condition, which our veterinary team will discuss in detail with any potential adopter. He is a fantastic boy with so much potential, but he needs a dedicated family willing to support him as he overcomes his worries. He is a big soul who is a favourite among staff, volunteers and visitors! Animal Welfare licence number is AWE02, as licenced by Glasgow City Council.
