Are you right for Roo?

Roo is looking for a calm and predictable home with adopters who are patient and understanding with her whilst she builds her confidence and who will advocate for her in situations she may find uncomfortable. She is looking for a home in a quiet area set back from the main road with minimal visitors especially when she first goes home, so she has time and space to adjust. She can live with children aged 16 and over who will be calm and understand that she will need her own space to rest and settle in. Roo could live with a confident and secure dog who will help her to gain some confidence, she cannot live with cats or small furries. She could have friendly and polite walking buddies. She has a little training under her belt, she does a lovely “sit” and “paw” and is can be encouraged to learn new things in short, sweet sessions if a tasty treat is on offer and there are no distractions. Roo was housetrained in her previous home, but may need a refresher so access to a private, fully secure garden to explore and potter around in at her own pace is essential. Roo worries when left alone, so will need her adopters to be home the majority of the time, any leaving time would need to built up slowly once she has had time to get used to her new home and routine. She will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home and may need a home trial to make sure she is settling in nicely. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes 7-10 days, but this can be longer depending on the needs of the dog.

Is Roo right for you?

Super sweet but shy girl Roo is a 6 month old German Wirehaired Pointer who thrives in a calm and predictable environment. Once she is settled and comfortable in her surroundings she is a silly, clumsy and affectionate big baby, she gets all wiggly when having a fuss with her favourite humans. She loves showing you her favourite toys and zooming around with them. She is a very foodie girl, she loves a smelly treat and will take them gently from the hand.
