Are you right for Boots?

Boots is looking for a loving adult home with no visiting children. He would like to be the only dog in the home without cats, small furries, or livestock. He is a high energy breed, looking for long walks and ball play in the garden. He would suit a home with adopters who are keen to do positive reward training. He is happy to travel in the car in the boot behind a dog-guard or in a crate. Boots will need a home with a steady, predictable routine. When he is settled or sleeping on his bed he appreciates his own space to chill. He is housetrained but may need a gentle reminding once in a new home. Boots is worried by strangers and will need a home with limited visitors. He is a bit of a ‘ladies’ man’, and seems to bond easier with women. He has a successful introduction plan to meet new people and will require his adopters to come and visit him at the centre a few times before adoption. Once he has built trust, he’ll greet you with pure wiggles and make the most amazing companion & best friend!

Is Boots right for you?

He adores a fuss and would love to sit in the quiet countryside and watch the sunset together. Due to his fear of strangers, he is not a dog that would enjoy town centres, pubs or cafes. Boots likes a game of fetch and would love to have a garden to zoom around in. He is very clever and likes to show off his sit, paw, down, spin, touch and ‘this way’. He is currently practicing a ‘let me see’ to encourage positive vet experiences. He is fully muzzle trained to enjoy public countryside scenic walks and he likes to visit secure dog fields that you can rent in your local area.
