Are you right for Crystal?

Meet Crystal – a sweet and affectionate seven-year-old with a sensitive side. Crystal may take a little time to warm up to new faces and can be more shy around men. However, after several meetings and once she feels comfortable, her true loving nature shines through. She’s a tactile dog who thrives on affection and will happily show her love once a bond is established. Crystal is looking for a calm, quiet home, without too many visitors coming and going. While we don’t have much information on her history with children, we feel that Crystal is best suited to a home with older, secondary-school aged children, who can respect her need for space and read her body language when she’s feeling nervous. She’s not too bothered by traffic, but may feel anxious around cyclists and joggers, so a home situated away from the hustle and bustle would be ideal. Crystal enjoys the company of other dogs but prefers those who are calm and laid-back, as boisterous dogs can make her anxious. With a careful introduction, she could potentially live with another dog who shares her temperament. She has lived with cats in the past and seems to enjoy their company, so with a proper introduction, she could fit well into a home with feline companions too. In her previous home, she was used to being left alone occasionally and mostly spent her time napping, so with a slow, consistent approach, she can work toward being left for longer periods in her new home.

Is Crystal right for you?

Gentle in her nature, Crystal is the perfect companion to a family who lead a peaceful lifestyle. She walks well on the lead, enjoys exploring and sniffing her surroundings, and tends to stay close to her favourite humans during walks. While she’s not too interested in playing with toys on her own, she enjoys interactive games like chase or tug-of-war with her people pals. Crystal knows basic commands like sit, down, and paw, and absolutely loves cuddles and attention. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate pooch who’s ready to build a strong bond, Crystal might be the perfect match for you!
