Are you right for Reggy?

Reggy has been described as a friendly, clumsy, and affectionate goofball who adores people. He can be unaware of his size and often runs up to his favourite people with a force of enthusiasm! However, if you’re not aware he’s on his way over, and if you’re not steady on your feet, Reg may knock you over! He’ll need an active family, where the youngest family members are over the age of 18, and his adopters will need to be physically able to manage his size and strength. This also goes for when you’re taking him out, as he can be especially strong when he catches a whiff of something exciting (i.e. rabbits!). Reggy would best be suited to walking in less-frequented areas, such as the countryside or the beach at quieter times of the day, as he is still learning how to control his frustration when he sees other dogs nearby. He’s a great traveller in the car, which is ideal if walks are not easily accessed from his new home. Reggy must be the only pet and requires a secure garden of his own to bound around in and burn off some steam.

Is Reggy right for you?

Two-year-old Reggy came into our care after being found as a stray, so we have little information on his life prior to his arrival at Dogs Trust. However, since his arrival in our care, we have learnt that he’s a big softie at heart and loves nothing more than spending quality time with his favourite people. We can imagine that he’ll enjoy chilling out with you on the sofa in the evenings, after a day packed full of fun activities to keep his energetic nature satisfied. He’s always keen to play with his toys, loves to tuck into a long-lasting chew, and looks forward to his daily training sessions! His perfect match would be a patient family, who have plenty of time to dedicate to his ongoing training, as well as the time to keep him company at home, as he prefers to be with someone than to be left alone. If you would like more information about adopting any of our dogs, or you are considering a variety of dogs and would like our team’s help to find your pawfect match, we would love you to visit us at our rehoming centre to chat with us in person. We are open between 12pm and 4pm every day, except for Wednesdays and Fridays when we are closed.
