Are you right for Toby?

Toby is a happy boy who is looking for a quiet adult only home with no visiting children. Toby loves to play with his toys and loves his food but does have a history of resource guarding, so will need a home who can help manage this behaviour. Toby gets overwhelmed during intense veterinary handling and grooming and is currently learning to wear a muzzle for this, and will need to have a strong bond to continue his grooming in the home. His new family will need to commit to multiple visits and training sessions to learn how to play, groom and handle Toby. He could live with a dog following a successful meet at the centre , and will need access to his own secure garden where he can zoom around and play without needing to be handled and put on lead.

Is Toby right for you?

Toby is a gorgeous lad who loves people! He may be an older gent but he is very much a lively little character and would benefit from owners who are going to be able to take him for lots of walks, play with him and continue his training. Toby has lived in a home previously and was housetrained but this will need refreshing in his new home. He was also able to be left alone for a few hours although this will need building up gradually again, and was also good to travel in the car. Toby can be selective with dogs and prefers to keep himself to himself but could live with a dog that is not going bounce all over him. Once he gets to know you he will happily play fetch with his balls and other toys, and he is learning how to swap. Toby needs to build a strong relationship with his new owners before going home, and this will help him with his training.
