Are you right for Mabel?

Mabel is looking for a loving family home with adopters who can take her on lots of adventures and give her all the care and attention she deserves. Adopters with knowledge of her breed and understanding of her grooming needs would be ideal. She can live with children aged 10 years and over who can play gently with her and who will give her space to rest when needed. Mabel could live with a calm and relaxed dog who will happily co-exist with her, this is not a necessity though, she would be happy with polite, friendly walking buddies who will let her approach on her terms. She cannot live with cats or other small furries. Mabel has some training under her belt, she does a lovely “sit”, she can be enticed to learn more with the help of a tasty treat. She will need housetraining in her new home so access to a secure garden is needed. Mabel is very worried being left alone, so is looking for an adopter who is home the majority of the time or can take her with them when they go out. Mabel will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home, so please bear this in mind before applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Is Mabel right for you?

Sweet and calm girl Mabel is a 3 and a half year old Shih Tzu who takes life in her stride. She is an inquisitive lass and enjoys sniffy walks in nature, followed by a cosy snooze on the sofa. She is not overly fussed with toys, she may have a quick play, but is more than happy exploring and sniffing or hanging out with her favourite humans. Once she gets to know you she is more than happy for a fuss, she likes a good chin tickle and will take herself off once she has had enough love. This lovely fluffball is ready to find her new home
