Are you right for Nero?

If you are after a big character in a fluffy package, Nero might just be your kind of dog. This one-and-a-half-year-old Husky Crossbreed is full of energy, full of opinions, and definitely full of personality. He is best suited to an adult household or one with children aged 16 and older, and ideally will have access to a secure garden where he can blow off steam. Nero enjoys meeting other dogs when out and about and could potentially live with a canine companion pending successful introductions. However, he must be kept on lead in public at all times – as he finds walks very stimulating, especially in busy environments or when other dogs walk by and he is still learning how to channel his excitement. Nero would benefit from someone who is around almost all of the time, as he is still learning how to settle and relax. He will need patient owners who can help him focus not only on his training but also on how to enjoy downtime. He travels fairly well in the car. If you have the time and enthusiasm to engage with Nero regularly throughout the day, providing him with plenty of exercise, training, and mental stimulation, he will thrive in your home.

Is Nero right for you?

Nero is looking for a special someone who can channel his excitable nature and help him learn and grow into the wonderful dog he is destined to be. He loves to be the centre of attention and will make sure everyone knows when he is around. Nero is eager to learn and full of personality. He likes his food, making him a dream to train, and loves to chew on antlers to keep himself entertained. He will benefit greatly from regular mental stimulation and structured enrichment to prevent him getting bored and frustrated. Nero already knows some basics like "sit" and "down", and is working on his recall. He will need ongoing positive reinforcement training and although he has already shown he is a very clever lad. He is full of beans and his playful side shines through when toys are involved – although soft toys do not tend to last long! He is gentle when taking treats and loves to engage with his training for a tasty reward. If you are prepared to invest the time in Nero’s training, meet his exercise needs, and help him learn, this young, enthusiastic boy will bring boundless joy and fun to your life!
