Are you right for Cody?

Please read about Cody before showing interest in him. Cody is a sensitive lad who is looking for an adult only home with adopters who have the time and patience to help him settle into a home environment. He need adopters who have experience/are willing to learn about the Cocker Spaniel breed and who can provide him with lots of physical and mental stimulation. Cody has undergone lots of training at the centre and he would love to continue this in the home, for example, station training and consensual handling training. These routines will need to be continued in the home to best set him up for success. Adopters must be prepared to visit the centre multiple times to meet Cody to ensure that a bond is built before going home. Cody is looking to be the only pet in the home as he can find dog interactions worrying- he has been working on this and can have distanced walking friends. Cody would like a secure and private garden to enjoy with his family and would ideally like to live in a rural location. Cody does have some medical considerations that will be discussed with our vet team upon a booking.

Is Cody right for you?

Cody is an energetic lad who has bundles of personality and the lovely looks to go with it! He is a sweet and affectionate boy who just needs a bit of extra time to open up to new people. Cody finds lots of joy out on his walks and particularly loves to get involved in enriching activities like free working and scent games. Cody’s biggest joy in life is toys, he loves showing them off to his carers and engaging in a game of fetch. When playing independently with his toys Cody does prefer to have space and be left to his own devices. Cody is an intelligent boy who knows his name, sit, paw, bed and is positively muzzled trained. He absolutely adores his treats and food and loves to show off his tricks to earn something tasty. Cody is a wonderful boy who just needs the time to show off how amazing he is.
