Are you right for Jasper?

Sweet boy Jasper is a very intelligent boy who loves his toys and learning new tricks! He is looking for a home with an experienced family who have had rescue dogs or similar breeds before. Jasper requires his own direct access, secure garden with a 5ft fence as he will need to be kept on lead whilst he is in public, and wearing a muzzle when he is in stressful situations, such as really busy places. Jasper is happy to walk with dog friends but would prefer to be the only pet in the home as he is quite indifferent with other dogs. Jasper is looking for a family who will always be at home with him, especially whilst he is settling in. We think he'd be able to be left for 2-3 hours once he has settled in, as long as this is built up gradually. He can also live with children aged 16 years and over.

Is Jasper right for you?

Jasper is a wonderful lad who enjoys his home comforts and training sessions, and he is house-trained. Whilst he can be a little worried in new situations or by new people, he does build fantastic bonds and then he absolutely loves a cuddle! He may need to be managed carefully in the home around high value items to prevent him from becoming over stimulated, using baby gates etc. Jasper loves his toys - his favourite is a squeaky toy or a tennis ball! This beautiful boy struggles to settle in new environments so would require multiple meets at the centre, and home visits, to help set him up for success in his new home. He will really make a rewarding pet in the right home.
