Are you right for Rex?

Rex, a spirited 3 and a half year old Terrier cross, is looking for an adult only home with owners who understand or are keen to learn about the needs of a sensitive dog. Rex's new family will have some experience with similar breeds or will be committed to continuing his training. Rex thrives in a calm environment with minimal visitors, and any visitors must allow him to approach them on his terms to build trust. He will need to be the only pet in the home, but he enjoys meeting calm doggy friends on walks. Rex requires his own space to relax and unwind, and his new home must respect his rule of not being allowed on furniture. When out in public, Rex must stay on a lead and he wears his muzzle when visiting the vets and groomers to help him feel safe and secure. If you have a quiet, stable environment, and a willingness to provide him with the support and structure he needs, you might be the perfect match for Rex.

Is Rex right for you?

Rex is a lively, affectionate boy who loves making friends with people. He adores fuss and cuddles but needs a gentle approach, especially when it comes to formal handling, as he can become a little grumpy in certain situations. He is not keen on having his nails clipped! His favourite pastime is burrowing into his cosy bedding, particularly on chilly days. Rex is housetrained, knows his basic commands, and is always excited to go for a walk where he can sniff to his heart's content. While Rex can be sensitive to noise and occasionally vocal, he is relaxed around traffic and travels well once helped into the car. Once settled, Rex can be left alone for a couple of hours, making him an adaptable companion for the right family. If you can offer Rex a patient, loving home where he can thrive, please apply today. This charming Terrier cross is ready to make a wonderful addition to your life!
