Our Snoopy statues find their forever homes
Going, going, gone! The Snoopy Statues from our Dog's Trail art adventure have been auctioned off to loving homes.
Our Snoopy Art Trail brought a splash of colour, excitement and joy to South Wales while helping us raise awareness and funds for our vital services and make sure that every dog has its day.
After eight weeks of being posed with, photographed and enjoyed by thousands, it was time for the streets, shopping centres and parks of Cardiff, Caerphilly and Porthcawl to bid farewell to the colourful characters.
While the mini Snoopy sculptures created by schools and community groups were reunited with their creators, 38 of the large Snoopy sculptures were ready to find their forever homes.
The auction, which took place on 21st June, brought in an amazing £156,000 to help us care for dogs in need.
We want to say a huge thank you to everyone that has supported A Dog’s Trail. Now we hope that Snoopy fans who have fallen in love with our beautiful sculptures and are happy to help us raise lots of money, whether that be businesses, individuals or groups of people who can dig deep for Dogs Trust.
Becca Morris, Special Events Officer and organiser of the auction
Since the trail was launched in April, more than a quarter of a million sculptures have been collected on the app, over 54,500 rewards claimed, 10,000 miles walked by trail goers and over 4,000 selfies uploaded to the app gallery.
