Fostering with us

Dedicated to supporting dogs and dog-lovers across Scotland, we’ve expanded our successful Home from Home scheme into Dundee and the surrounding area, including Tayside, Perth and Kinross, Fife, Angus and Kincardine.

Since our launch in March 2022, we have happily rehomed 11 dogs and have more pooches with their paws up in loving foster homes. Fostering is the perfect way for people who aren’t ready to adopt a dog of their own to experience the joy of rehoming without the long-term commitment. The Home from Home scheme gives dogs of all shapes and sizes the opportunity to relax in a comfortable home environment with lots of TLC until they find their forever families.

Meet our Home From Home Coordinators

From precious puppies to golden oldies, our foster carers have the opportunity to take in all types of dogs to best suit your lifestyle. Our committed Home from Home Coordinators, Megan Wilkinson and Chloe Dixon, are ready to help every step of the way.

Megan and Chloe enjoy getting to know dog-lovers in their community. You might find them and their big yellow van at local events where you can say hello, learn more about fostering and ask them any questions about the scheme. Dogs Trust Dundee enjoy hosting get-togethers for foster carers too. These are great opportunities for our team to share ideas and experiences, support one another in their unique community and have fun!

Whether finding your perfect fostering match or setting up the perfect send-off for your new four-legged friend, we’ll support you every step of the way. We make sure you have all the essentials, from food to veterinary care, so you can focus on giving your temporary pal plenty of fuss and attention.

We’re looking for foster carers to open their hearts and homes to dogs in need of a temporary home. We accept applications from anyone across Dundee, Tayside, Perth and Kinross, Fife, Angus and Kincardine.
