Meet our marvellous muzzled dogs

We are pro-muzzle here at Dogs Trust Newbury, in fact, we recommend muzzle training every dog. Why? Because it is super fun to train, and you never know when you’ll need it!

Muzzle Myth

It is easy to see why a dog might need a muzzle if you were to put yourself in their ‘paws’.  To better understand the reasons some dogs wear muzzles, and the benefits behind muzzle training, read our muzzle training page.

A muzzled dog is not a dangerous dog, in fact, they are the complete opposite and there are many reasons why a dog may need to wear a muzzle. Let's take a look at Jazz for example...

Meet Jazz

Jazz needs to wear a muzzle because is worried by other dogs and with an estimated 12 million dogs living in the UK (2021), the chances of bumping into one are quite high!

Could you offer one of our muzzled dogs a fur-ever home?

The fact that they can find some things in the outside world scary, just means that it is important to make sure they feel extra safe inside the home and dogs who feels safe are happy and content dogs, who probably spend most of their time chilling out!

The main thing to remember is that all dogs are brilliant. They all have their own personalities and quirks, and they all deserve a loving home, even the ones behind the muzzles.

Or you’re looking to adopt from us, then why not enquire about one of our marvellous muzzled dogs.
