Are you right for Duggee?

Duggee is looking for a loving home with patient and understanding adult adopters. He is worried by children. He will need a home with a limited number of visitors as he can find people that he doesn't know scary. Duggee is looking to be the only dog and only pet in the home. He is housetrained and would love a large, enclosed garden. Duggee can be worried by new places and situations but does well with familiarity. Duggee travels happily on the back seats in the car. Duggee is a rural, quiet, and peaceful walk kind of dog and is not one for pubs, cafes, or town centres. Experience of the breed and with nervous dogs would be helpful. He will require his adopters to come to the rehoming centre a few times so you can get to know each other and build up that loving bond.

Is Duggee right for you?

Duggee is a five-year-old Collie cross. You'll find him to be, sweet, loving, and the perfect gentleman once he trusts you. He is a sensitive soul who is worried by strangers and seeks reassurance from the people he knows. The way to Duggee's heart is through a game of fetch, he will happily play ball for hours. He has a successful introduction program to new people, and once you have Duggee as a friend, you have a best friend for life! With his friends he is affectionate, adores a fuss and likes to snuggle in close. Duggee has made a few doggie pals, but like us, he can be picky with the friends he chooses. Duggee has learnt to wear a muzzle for when out and about. He is an absolute ninja at search games. He loves it and 'find it' games are perfect to keep his clever Collie brain stimulated. He likes treats and knows many cues, why not teach him new skills through positive reward training as he enjoys it and will give you his all when he trusts you. Duggee will be a hugely rewarding dog to adopt, and he would love a sofa, and a family to call his own.
