Are you right for Skye?

Skye is a bright and social 10-year-old Collie cross German Shepherd with a zest for life and adventure. This lovely girl is happiest exploring the outdoors, whether it’s a trip to the beach or a game of fetch with her favourite stick! Confident and friendly, Skye thrives on human companionship and adores meeting people. She would do best in a home with a secure, private garden where she can stretch her legs and explore. Skye is well-suited to living with children aged 10 and above who are comfortable around dogs and understand when she needs her space, as she has a calm and gentle nature with them. Skye is uncomfortable around some dogs and needs to walk in quiet areas where she can avoid other dogs, she would thrive as the only pet in the home. She would benefit from an owner who understands her need for space and is confident managing a medium-sized dog, as she can pull slightly when excited. Skye is house-trained and settles well when left alone for a few hours, making her a wonderful companion for a family with previous dog experience who are ready to give her the love and attention she deserves.

Is Skye right for you?

Skye is an affectionate and lively girl who’s happiest when exploring new sights and scents, enjoying a puzzle game, or playing with her toys. Equally fond of cosy days in as she is of outdoor adventures, Skye loves a good balance of both. With her intelligence and trainable nature, she already knows commands like “sit,” “stay,” “paw,” and “high five” and is eager to learn more with her new family. While she loves an active day of exploring and activity, Skye is just as content to relax at home afterward and will happily snuggle by your side. When indoors, she’s low-maintenance and loves nothing more than resting contentedly after her daily exercise and stimulation. Skye’s ideal family will appreciate her curious spirit, love for outdoor activities, and warm, gentle nature. She travels well in the car, and her foster carer notes that while she’s unfazed by most things, she would be happiest on walks where she can avoid close interactions with other dogs, allowing her to enjoy her surroundings without stress. Skye would make a wonderful addition to an experienced dog home ready to share in both adventures and relaxing, lazy days together, giving her the love and attention she deserves.
